Papaya and Grapefruit Smoothie

Ingredients:

Papaya cut into cubes – 2 cups
Grape Fruit – 1 peeled and seeded
Filtered Water – 3 cups

Preparation:
Papaya provides relief for inflammation. An enzyme called papain promotes digestive health. Its fiber has the ability to remove toxins that cause colon cancer. The vitamin A in papaya prevents emphysema, the reason for death in many smokers. Grapefruit is a fruit consumed by many who want to lose weight. The reason is because it has a flavonoid compound called naringin which hinders the use of carbohydrates in our body.It is also rich in vitamin C, potassium and folic acid. This fruit also hampers the tumor formation due to a phytonutrient called limonoid that is in this. It has slightly bitter taste and I enjoy slight bitter taste of this fruit. Hope you would make this smoothie and drink it as often as you can.

Blend all the ingredients for 3-4 minutes. Allow the juice to cool and transfer into glasses.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Serves: 4
