Turmeric-Ginger Tea

Turmeric is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial agent. It is also a natural liver detoxifier. It is a natural painkiller and COX-2 inhibitor. May prevent melanoma and cause existing melanoma cells to die. I remember my aunt giving turmeric with warm water to her children when they travel. I believe turmeric helps preventing sore throats to some extent.

Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties and is a powerful natural painkiller. Ginger tea has long been used as a natural heartburn remedy. Helps fight cold, cough and flu naturally.

Raw honey is known to cure sore throats including laryngitis and pharyngitis. Honey and cinnamon can help in giving some relief from bladder infections, arthritis and upset stomach.

Ingredients:
Turmeric - 1/4th tsp
Ginger - 1 inch piece lightly crushed
Lime Juice - 1/4th tsp
Raw Honey - 1 tsp (optional)
Water - 5 cups

Preparation:
  • Boil turmeric and ginger in water for about 4-5 minutes.
  • Strain and cool until it is at room temperature. Alternately, you may have it warm if you like.
  • Add lime juice and honey if you are using.
  • Enjoy!
