Detox Juice

Beets help in liver detox. The best way to consume beets for a liver detox is by juicing them. For this detox juice recipe, we will be using a mix of detox vegetables, a piece of ginger root and an apple for sweetening. This juice is good for consuming on a regular basis. But, if you want a thorough liver detox, have beets everyday for a minimum of seven days. Since we have purchased an Omega VRT 350 HD juicer (seen in the picture), this has become a daily ritual at home. Surprisingly, my 12-year old demands more of vegetable juice everyday! 

Ingredients:
Carrots - 2 large
Beet - 1/2
Curly Kale - 6 large leaves
Cucumber - 1
Celery Sticks - 2
Cilantro - 3 sprigs
Ginger - a small piece
Granny Smith Apple - 1

Preparation:
Juice all the ingredients. If you don't have a juicer, no worries. Simply blend all the ingredients thoroughly with ample amount of water and strain. You can use the pulp for smoothies at some other time. Happy detoxing!
