Kale is THE KING of GREENS! It carries a wide range of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. It is especially a good source of calcium and therefore can protect your bones from osteoporosis. It is the best source of beta-carotene, an antioxidant that is known to help fight cancer. It also has carotenoids, lutein and zeaxanthanin that protect your eyes from cataract. It is rich in fiber and therefore helps your gut. It also has the power to protect your body from the damaging free radicals!

If you are looking to incorporate kale in your diet, probably you should try having kale chips. The best way to make your kale chips is using a dehydrator as you would retain all the essential nutrients. But, if you do not have a dehydrator, you still can make kale chips in your oven and get the maximum benefits.

Ingredients:
A bunch of Kale
Himalayan salt or sea salt to taste

Just separate the leaves from the stems. Tear into bite-sized pieces. Gently massage the leaves with salt.

DEHYDRATOR Version:
Spread the leaves evenly on your dehydrator trays. Dehydrate at 120F for an hour. Then, gently turn the kale leaves and dehydrate for another hour. If you need more crunch to your chips, dehydrate for another 15-30 minutes.

OVEN Version:
Preheat the oven to 350F. Spread the leaves on your baking tray and bake for 10 minutes and gently turn each leaf. Bake for another 5-10 minutes.

Enjoy the crunchy kale chips any day, any time and anywhere!
