Parsley Tea

Parsley tea has many benefits. It helps in detoxifying and cleansing your blood. It has the diuretic effect and helps in the treatment of arthritis, rheumatism, edema, gout and a host of other diseases.

Remember that parsley tea benefits are only noticeable over a couple of months of taking it regularly. Therefore, do not expect to experience it’s health or nutritional benefits within 5-6 days. Give parsley tea some time to heal and strengthen your body. Also make sure you drink it ½ hour before meals and ½ hour before going to bed to detoxify kidneys.

Parsley tea has rich enzymes (even with the added hot water) that help and enhance the digestive and excretory system. It’s healing magic can be found in two compounds it contains, myristicin and apiol, that can help increase the flow of urine and passing more urine helps remove infection-causing bacteria from the urinary tract.

Ingredients:
Fresh Parsley – Leaves from one sprig
Filtered water – 10 ounces
Sweetener of your choice (optional)

Preparation:
Put the fresh parsley in a big cup. Boil the water. Pour the boiling water over parsley. Let it soak for 10 minutes. Using a mesh strainer, strain the tea into another cup and sweeten with honey or stevia. You can chew the soaked parsley if you like. It helps in controlling halitosis.
