Ingredients:
Brown Basmati Rice – 2cups uncooked
Filtered Water – 4.5 cups
Rosemary – fresh or dried (better if it is fresh)
Fresh Thyme – Leaves separated
Chopped Fresh Basil - 2 tbsp
Chopped Parsley - 2 tbsp
Bay leaves – 2
Curry Leaves – 3 finely chopped
Sea salt to taste
Extra Virgin Olive Oil – 1 tbsp
Preparation:
The nutritional value of fresh herbs has been found to be beneficial in healing various diseases of the respiratory tract. They also have an aroma that is wonderful and when used in cooking can make your already special meal into something extra-special.
Clean brown basmati rice in water. Soak the rice in 4.5 cups of filtered water in a rice cooker for one hour. Add rosemary, thyme, curry leaves, basil, bay leaves, sea salt and sprinkle the oil on top. Mix all the ingredients with a ladle and cover the lid. Switch on your rice cooker after an hour. When the rice is cooked and all done, scoop it out into a serving bowl. Serve this with any soup and it makes a sumptuous meal.
