Homemade Ketchup

Ingredients:

  • 2½ cups home-cooked tomato paste
  • 2 tsp apple cider or balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ tsp Himalayan salt
  • Cayenne pepper to taste
  • ¾ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • a pinch of ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp allspice


Preparation:

  • Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pan and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • Put through a food processor to get the smooth texture.
  • Let cool and transfer to container.
  • Store in the refrigerator.
